DANI AND THE BEAVE DO CANADA DAY

Dani and her good friend, The Beave, are combining their monumental star power to celebrate the 150th annifursary of Canada's Confederation -- in other words when Canada was born.  It's our collective birthday!

In case you aren't aware the beaver is our national animal, so who better to party with?

Unfortunately, this year we have a bunch of party poopers coming to Ottawa, our national capital, to protest what they already have -- The Freedom Convoy they call themselves.  Even the fireworks have been cancelled this year cuzza them!

So Dani and The Beave are here to cheer efurryone up.  They are proud of their country and want to spread the word.

So 'Leave It to Beaver' and Dani, of course, to make enough noise to drown out those poopers.  The two of them have brought a big supply of little Canadian flags free to anyone who wants to wave them. They may not be loud -- they just go swish, swish -- but they are a powerful symbol of this awesome country where freedom rains.  Oops, reigns.  Well a little rain wouldn't hurt as long as it falls on the poopers!

Here's The Beave opening the Canada Day concert with a raucous version of our national anthem, "O Canada".  What a way to get a PAWSitive message out there!  I know beavers prefer wood but I say "Rock On"!

And here's a group of Canadian patriots.  Polar bears just wanna lie back and chill out while throwing back some bear-brewed beer and listen to the concert.  However, I must say it's somewhat disCONCERTing to find them roasting a penguin over a fire.  It just makes me want to SPIT!  I guess bears will be bears ...

Next up is another Canadian icon, the Canada Goose.  This one's wearing a party hat and attempting to do the Macarena.  Someone should tell him Spanish is NOT one of our national languages, but hey, it's a free country.

"Ackshully", says the goose.  "Sumwun just 'goosed' me, so I farted, an' now I'm tryin' ta clear da fumes!"

Take a gander at that!

And finally, yet another symbol of our country, the Canadian Moose.  How are ya, big guy?

"O, I'm just DUCKY!" says he, chomping on some water plants.

At least if he farts underwater, the gas will just make bubbles.
"Don't duck little duckies or you'll be blown away!"

Then Dani had a light-bulb moment ...
"Since we won't has any fireworks dis year, why duzn't we all fart at da same time -- efurryone in da whole country?  Den we kin drown out all da shoutin' an' loud mewsic from da Convoy Peeples.  Den dey'll noes wot it feels like!  An' if da noise duzn't boddah dem -- just getta WHIFF a dis!
Dani cuts one for emphasis.

THE END
(Lots of ends, actually)

What a truly tremendous parting shot!

Then there's The Beave.  He always hasta have the last word.

Pee Ess:  Thank you to Ann of Zoolatry for the awesome silhouette of Dani sporting a Canada flag headdress.

We be waving a flag (a Maple Leaf one!) for all our Canadian Friends ... and we'll join the communal f..t on that convoy spoiling your FIREWORKS *** ... we'll have our first ones since da pandemic ... YAY! Love your montage, the beaver and the moosey moose ... we like seeing your Canadian Goosers when they fly south by us, but we don't so much like the clean-up-duty they leave behind when they land here (UGH!) Memories of kid days: vacationing up your way, begging for those super-sweet-totally-sugary shaped-like maple leaf candies: they best!

The Canadian flag was proudly flying from our porch today, too. Petcretary wore one of her 'Canada' shirts...and we made a blog post about it too...Pecretary hails from Brampton, Ontario...not too far from Toronto...but she's been in Michigan since 1987...that's where hubby was when she met him, though he's from the US capitol, Washington DC!

Ottawa is a beautiful city, Petcretary has visited there a few times. and so did hubby even before we met,LOL!

Happy Canada Day...or as I also remember it...Happy Dominion Day...sheesh, I am ancient!

Purrfect post for the celebration! We really enjoyed the day. Mom chased us all inside early and then she disappeared! She went to the fireworks! We ALL hid under the bed in the basement in Alex's Man Cave. He totally ignored That Cinnamon inserted herself into our den during all the noise! We hope that Ottawa did not get too inundated with the protestors...frankly, we thought they should have stayed home. Purrs Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Mom
