DANI HOPES FOR HUGE HOSTAS

Here's Dani in the front garden standing by two of the burgeoning hostas.

 "Da gardin isn't doin' too badly but dere's still a long way ta go" opines Dani.

"No, I gots no opinions 'bout pines rite now" she says, correcting me. 

 "I'm more concerned 'bout dese hostas.  Dey're still way too pewny."

 "Dey gots ta be big enuff ta hide undah -- See?"

Let's just hope the leaves grow bigger than last year -- just like you!

When Dani gets into something, she truly commits.  Here she is deep in the 'purriwinkle' in the front garden.

 "I jus' loves purrple" says she.

"In fact I'm startin' a mauve-ment ...

... an' dis is our first sit-in."

These pictures of Dani were taken only 11 days apart this month.

This one was taken on the 7th of May when there were only the very beginnings of new growth in the garden.

And this one was taken on the 18th of May when everything had really taken off.  Which do you think Dani enjoys the most?

DANI: THE BELLE AND THE BLUEBELL

Here's Dani in her pretty peach and blue floral print dress again.  And she's still wearing that bluebell necklace.  I think it's one of her favourites.

 "Yes, I jus' LUVS bloobells!" enthuses Dani.

 "In fact, I fink I kin heer wun ringin' me up now."

 "Ware are yoo little bloobell?"

"I'm right here, Dani -- in yoor mind."

 "I'd really like to 'drop' in on you, so put out your tongue." said the little bluebell.

"Now open your 'mouse' reel wide!"

"Ah -- refreshin'!" remarked Dani.

It's wonderful what a vivid imagination can do for you.

It can take you right where you always wanted to be!

DANI HANGS 'TUFT'!

Dani's still out on the porch step on that windy day.  She already gave you a 'tip' about her 'tufts'.  Now here's more.

"Dis is a 'tuft' act ta follow" says Dani, since this is her second post about her ear tips.

"It seems like I'm always haffin' a 'tuft' time - speschully wen da wind blows."

"Mumbull ... mumbull ... mumbull ..."

Don't speak with your mouth full, Dani!

"Sorry!"
"Doan worry 'bout me, dough, 
cuz I'm wun 'tuft' cookie."  

(Audible groan from audience)

"An' wen da goin' gets 'tuft' ...

... da 'tuft' gets goin'!

DANI KNOWS ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS

Dani was lying on the bottom step of the front porch stairs.  She finally looked my way so I took the opportunity to take these stunning shots.

Dani's 'lynx tufts' are clearly visible on the tips of her ears.  I've always wondered what purpose they served.

So I looked it up and it seems that even the experts don't know why they exist and they don't see any biological need for them and the same can be said for lynxes.

 Dani seems to know why, though.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: ALL DRESSED UP AND NOWHERE TO GO

DANI ON THE FIRST OF MAY

Finally, it's May and after a brutal start to Spring, it has finally arrived in full force.

To celebrate, Dani is wearing her new peach and blue floral frock.  She has also chosen a neutral-coloured fascinator with bright Spring flowers clustered atop.  Around her fluffly little neck is a silver necklace with bluebell pendant and one of her favourite handbags -- a pale blue 'Hello Kitty' number with floral trim and bow.

Spring is all around and Dani is its epitome.

The neck of Dani's dress is studded with white pearls on lace.

And there are two daisy appliques adorning the back.  You can't get any more spring-like than that ...

... or maybe you can!
