SOX: TIME FOR A CHANGE

Among other things, Sox is a quick-change artist.  If he sees something he likes he tries to blend in with it.

He's sort of a strange mix between a butterfly and a chameleon.

"I likes ta fink I'mma liddle bit o' both" says he.

Like this butterfly, Sox has emerged from his cozy cocoon (i.e., his favourite box for sleeping).  Once outside he has put on an orange top hat with purrple flowers, a checked bowtie to match and a colour-coordinated watch so he can blend in with this winged creature.  Truth be told, Sox is a little wingy, himself.

Sox also takes his cue from the ever-changing chameleon.  Although for the chameleon its ability to homogenize with its environment is ultimately a matter of survival, for Sox it's a challenge to see how quickly he can meld with his surroundings.

So far he's managed to effect change in a timely manner, thanks to his kaleidoscope of watches.  Here are but a few from his collection:

DANI'S PLAY STRATEGY

Dani has a multi-faceted play strategy.  When one thing doesn't work, you try another.  Try and try again.  But don't let it get the uppurr paw by acting like you're despurrate.  Keep your dignity at all costs.

That way you'll keep 'em coming back for more.

DANI IS PRETTY AS A PICTURE

Dani is definitely pretty as a picture.  She always likes to put her best face forward.

"Dat's abserd!" says Dani.

"Is not da pichur dat's pretteh -- is ME wot is pretteh" she says logically.

I guess she's more than just a pretty face after all.

DANI: THE POWER OF PUSSYCATS

Here are a couple of lovely photos of Dani sitting in her chair on the front porch.  It is one of her fafurite purrches.

 Her coat colours are soft in the daylight which is somewhat overcast.

"I say ovahCATS!" corrects Dani.

It's true, efurrything in Dani's world is over cats.

"We is all ovah da internet an' efurrywhere in de uniFURSe."

SOX: SMELLS LIKE HOME

Sox loves sitting, lying or simply just being on the front porch. To him it has that homey feel.

He has a PURRticular affinity for the rattan chair which Dani normally occupies when she's outside. I've never seen Sox in the chair -- only underneath it.

 "Dani may own da upPURR chair, but I has claimed de undah side" says Sox quite PURRoudly.

"In fact I has wubbed my scent all ovah it."

"Issa luffly scent -- is wot I call 'HOME'."

SOX IN A DAZE

It's Sox's turn to dress up today.  Here he is in his green straw fedora (worn at a jaunty angle) and sporting a green, white and yellow bowtie with daisies.  He has also chosen to wear a coordinating watch with a green face and brown band as he likes to keep track of time.  Otherwise he wouldn't know when to come back home for chow.

He's so pleased with himself that he just breaks into song!

"Dazy, Dazy

Giff me yoor answer do

I'm haff crazy 

Ovah da likes of you ..."

Sox just LOVES daisies (even if he doesn't know how to spell them).

Luckily he doesn't have to go far afield to find them.

DANI'S FANCY-FULL FANTA-SEA!

Dani's dressed up all fancy in her new aqua blue dress.  The dress -- and her imagination -- have spawned this new fanta-sea where she oversees the under-sea.

In this environment there are no bounds including some real fish and one which is a bit more surreal.  And it looks like she found Nemo who is encapsulated in her purrse, just bubbling away!

Dani's hat is decorated with dolphins, jumping for joy, and her silver necklace supports a beautiful seahorse pendant.  She is also sporting a silver bracelet with an aqua blue topaz in the center.  Her outfit is as fantastic as the fanta-sea itself!

Dani, having changed up her hat just to be fursatile, takes a stand to show off the details on the bodice of her dress.  It has pale blue lace, sequins in a diamond pattern and ...

... a large aqua bow entwined with a smaller royal blue bow at the waist.

It's o-fish-all -- Dani is now the Star of The Fanta-Sea!

I can't wait for sea-quel.

DANI AND SOX: MIND OVER MATTER

Dani sometimes pesters Sox, so when I saw this I just had to ask.

"Sox, is Dani bothering you?"

"Issa meetin' of da minds" said Dani, quickly jumping in before Sox had a chance to answer.

"And what do you say, Sox?"

"More offa taste test I'd say!

But I reely didn't MIND." said he.

So what appeared to be a problem wasn't really one after all.

Sometimes it's only a matter of your mind set.

Freaky!

DANI WITH SOX: IT'S UNDER STANDABLE

Sox and Dani have come to an understanding.  Sox knows he must ask PURRmission before doing just about anything involving her majesty.

 "Psssst!  Is yoo awake?" asks Sox.

"I am now yoo nimwod!" replies Dani.

"Kin I come up dere wif yoo?" begs Sox.

"As if!" says Dani.  "Yoo kin go undah ware yoo belong."

And so, knowing his place in Dani's world, Sox conforms to the lot of the under standing.

"Fanks a lot!" says Sox.  "Not!"
