DANI: THE BASKET CASE

Dani simply adores her basket chair on the front porch.

 "It has sucha nice comfee cushion" says she.

 "An' yoo kin see a long way down da street from up here."

 "A course it's a good place ta pose fur pichurs."

 "Or ta simplee relax."

 "Sumtimes I likes ta sit here an' just hassa good fink."

"But best o' all is da daydreamin' cuz yoo kin go

anyware an' do anyfing yoo wont!"

AMEN!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: PORTRAIT OF A PURRINCESS

DANI: IT'S OWL ABOUT ME AND MY OWL

Dani is all spiffed up in black and white today -- with a hint of sparkle here and there.

Tonight she's going out on a date with her feathered friend, the snowy owl.  In his honour she has dressed in black and white.  Her dress has a black bodice with sparkly studs on the back and a white tulle skirt with black lace trim at the hem.

At the waist is a pretty black bow with a white-diamond fastener.

Dani's large hat is quite speCATular in a black weave with wide brim and accented by a flourish of white feathers.  She is wearing a white gold necklace with black-and-white-diamond owl shaped pendant as an ode to her 'bird of a feather' (or soul mate as she would like to think).

And likewise, Dani's purrse is in white and black leather adorned with a white crystal owl in the center.  The flap of the purrse has a scalloped edge and lace-like cutout pattern.  The pure black bottom sets the top part off quite nicely and the long strap is silver chain metal attached to a leather strip in order to cushion the shoulder.

Dani isn't the first pussycat to become enamoured of an owl.  In fact one of her favourite books is called "The Owl and the Pussycat", so we'll just have to wait and see where things go.

After all it's what's in your heart and your spirit that matter the most
even if you're from different species.

DANI'S PETROSPECTIVE FOR THE WEEK OF JUNE 18TH

Here's Dani in the garden in her lavender net frock.  It was taken precisely this time last year.

She was very busily tracking bees, but still had time ...

... to give me a bit of the oFUR the shoulder smoulder.

And she was only a kitten of five months at the time.

How PURRYcocious!

"O beehive, Mama!" said Dani.

"Why doncha jus' bee good, like me?" 

DANI: A FIELD FOR FELINES AND FLOWERS

What better place to take a break than in a field of flowers on a sunny day ...

... as long as you have a wide-brimmed hat to shield your eyes, and a purrse to stash your goodies.  Dani's hat is a light purple weave with flower adornment.  She is wearing a sparkly silver two-strand necklace with purple jewels that catch the sun.  And her purrse has already managed to capture a sun all of its own!

In this field butterflies abound, attracted by the abundance of flowers.

You certainly won't have to go far afield to find a sight like this.

But you'll have to be patient and keep your eyes peeled to CATch a glimpse of this!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: SPLIT PURRSONALITY!

DANI'S PETROSPECTIVE -- ONE YEAR AGO

These are pictures of Dani taken last year at this time.  She was 5-1/2 months old then.

Dani was pretty in pink and in the process of blossoming into who she is today. She was a little beauty back then and her beauty, like her size, has only grown with time.

"I likes ta fink I rose to de occashun!" says she.

DANI AND HER AUNTIE VAL

Dani came outside to visit with her Auntie Val.  Of course, I was there too on the front porch snapping these pictures.

 Auntie Val hadn't seen Dani since March so was surprised at her size and her heft.  She has a kitty, too, but hers is fairly small.  As you can see, Dani is quite the armful!

Dani stayed longer than usual snuggling with Auntie Val.  And this is what Auntie Val had to say after I sent her these pictures:

"Thanks for the pics, gotta say I reaaallllyyyy enjoyed the cuddle time."

For Auntie Val and Dani it seems like the feelings are MEWtual!

DANI: HARD TO BEAT!

Dani's been waiting to break out this hat, in purrticular, because she thinks it goes well with her natural complexion.

So here she is in all her glory in this taupe woven hat with feathery ribbons and peach-coloured flower on top.  The brim is curved and paler in colour and frames her face just purrfectly!

Dani has chosen a pink gold necklace with citrine pendant as an accompaniment to her speCATular hat, along with a trio of bronze-braided bracelets, from dark to delight!

Dani's purse is an awesome taupe leather tote with shiny peach material decorating its sides and a lining in bright orange silk.  The tassels gives this handbag a bit of a bohemian twist.  Dani always likes things a little offbeat  ...

... just like she is!
