AWWW MONDAY WITH DANI KITTEN: THAT'S MY BABY

Dani Kitten is about six months old, here.  She has stepped up to the first step of the porch stairs where she perched for the remainder of the photoshoot.

I have always been a fan of the play between light and shadow, and these pictures have that in spades (or should I say, shades).

"Yes sir, that's my baby
No sir, I don't mean maybe
Yes sir, that's my baby now"
(Song by Lee Morse 1925,
Sung by Frank Sinatra)

DANI AND MOM WISH YOU A HAPPY FOURTH!

Dani and I wish a Happy Independence Day to all of our friends in the United States of America.

"I'm feline a liddle rebellyous, myself, today.

I wonts hot dogs in my belly -- NOW!" says Dani.

Rebellyous is better than bilious, any day, says I.

You don't want to turn into a hot dog, do you?

AWWW MONDAY WITH DANI KITTEN: A TIGER'S TALE

This is one of my all-time favourite pictures of Dani as a young kitten of 12 weeks of age, or thereabouts.

She looks as wild and voracious as her wild feline predecessors, here seen gnawing on a red camping chair.  So her tastes weren't exactly developed at that point -- or maybe she was teething.

Anyway, this led me to pair her with her ancestral tigers ('cause they're both stripey), and I was thrilled with the result.  I also have some new software that facilitated the effort.

And here's my pick of the litter.
Are those jungle drums, I'm hearing?

I always wondered what Dani would
look like when she was fully grown!
