HAPPY CANADA DAY WITH DANI!

Today is Canada's 157th birthday, and Dani is UP for the celebration.

We live in Ottawa, Ontario which is the capital city of Canada.
Tonight Dani will be attending the national fireworks on Parliament Hill.

This is a collage of all things Canada.

The beaver is but one of our national symbols.

The moose is another.

This is a picture of part of downtown Ottawa.  The Parliament Buildings, which are the seat of government, are on the far left, and our "castle" is on the top right and is actually an historical hotel called the Chateau Laurier.

This is a picture of the front of the Parliament Building.  The Peace Tower is the highest spire, where carillon bells ring out on special occasions.

And, pictured here, is the back of the Parliament Buildings.

The Ottawa River borders Ontario on one side and the Province of Quebec on the other.

This is a closer view of the Chateau Laurier.

The Rideau Canal runs from downtown to Kingston Harbour, 125 miles south.

The canal is used for boating in the summer ...

... and skating in the winter.

There is lots more to say, but I don't want to overdo it.

So, now you know more about Dani's hometown.

This is our home in the suburbs.

But, I digress.  To all my fellow Canadians ...

O Canada meets O Dani Girl!
