DANI'S NEW YEARS EVE PREPURRATIONS!

Dani has stepped up her New Year's Eve prepurrations because there's not much time left for the leftover Christmas purraphenalia to be tidied up and put away.  Dani has also gathered some cleaning materials for hygienic purrposes.

To help in this process is June of Zoolatry who has put in her own two scents; one is a little off but a scrupulous Spitz bath should take care of that.

Also to be found below is a hodgepodge of Miscellany.  Purrhaps you can assist in its dissection (by reading dis section and then dis other section after that).

Efurryone deserves a day at the 'bleach' after Christmas!

Recycling should always be at the top of your list of New Year's Resolutions.

We've all heard of kitty-corners but those are for good kitties.  If you're one of the bitchy ones you go Catty-Corner.  Just think of it as a Naughty Corner for Cats.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY: DANI BOUGHT SOME BOTS AND A HAT

 

DANI HOSTS CHEEZBURGER REWIND

   Dani is sharing her space because she is confident in herself and her nobility.

She is allowing me to use her blog to go back in time to my I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER Days.  And just because it's Boxing Day (kittens are really into boxing), I chose some Q.T. PIES!

 Just look what Aunty Ann of Zoolatry has done with Dani!  We think she deserves a AAA Rating (A for Aunty, A for Ann, and A for Adamus).

We also think the pictures speak for themselves.

SOX SAYS "PUT A SOCK ON IT!"

 Sox has taken a long time to come to a decision and he takes it very seriously.  After all Christmas comes but once a year.

Sox idolizes Socrates but has him confused with rats in a sock at the moment.  He believes in Socrates' wisdom especially his quote:

"You know why I luvs him so much?" asks Sox.

"BECAUSE HE MAKES IT COOL TO KNOW NOTHING!!!"

And SocRATes also has RAT in his name.

But then so do the PawpawRATsie.

DANI: FROM THE RIDICULOUS TO THE SUBLIME

 Dani has gathered together some of her closest buds.  Three of them are angel-kitties, and the other one, of course, is June of Zoolatry.

Let's see what they've been up to lately.

Poor Dani, for her the pain is still RAH!  I say, leave cheerleading to the POMeranians!

Here are two of my angel-kitties; Dante is the big ginger Maine Coon, and Domino is the little tuxy girl.  No need to guess who's DOMINant!

Fork over the fork, willya?

And this is my angel-kitty, Dylan, who earned his wings last.

Dylan was definitely A HEAD of his time.

Let's hope it doesn't become HOPitual!

Looks like June is destined to become a Bag Lady whichever way it goes.  I'm pulling for the one who's gonna live in the alleyway next to Saks.

Those polka-dot fur coats must be worth a pretty PENNY! 

 I wonder if June got one for her thoughts.

Remember, Christmas is fur WINGNUTS, too!

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: NIGHT LIGHTS

DANI AND SOX IN: A CHRISTMAS SORRY

 Dani and Sox are together again for the first time since Sox returned to his own home.

Those were the 'Do-Come-Over-and-Stay Days' when Dani and Sox were a duo or a do-over (meaning if you do that again, it's over!).

That year we featured them both on our Christmas card.

We'd like to give a nod to Dr. Suess for his endearing and enduring inspiration.

 There are two Things in this picture.  

Thing 1 is Dani and Thing 2 is Sox. 

The inside of the card explains what is happening, as follows:

Thing 1 is wondering when Santa will come

Thing 2 wonders where he's coming from

But most of all, they wonder:

WHO IS THIS GUY

AND

WHY IS HE STOCKING US?

 They think Santa might be a PURRvert!

"Is da stocking dat makes me suspishus" remarks Dani.

"Stockings is used by stockers ta strangulls yoo" adds Sox anxiously.

"We best watch out fur dis fella an' pounce on him before he kin get us." 

" Wif two of us an' one of him, we shud has de upPURR Paw."

So realizing that if I didn't step in there'd be a major KATfuffle, I sat the two kitties down to give it to them straight.  I couldn't have two "armed" cats with deadly teeth and claws out there on Watch-out.  Santa may not have kept up his defensive skills.  He was declawed many moons ago.  That was when he changed his name from CLAWS to CLAUS. (Betcha never heard that one before!)

I sat the two kitties down to explain how things really work:  Santa comes efurry year on Christmas Eve and leaves presents in your stockings.  If you had presents of mind you'd realize that Santa is a good and kind gentle man.  I think you owe him an aPAWology.  To show your appreciation you can bring him some cookies and milk.  You better get ready.

Dani and Sox rush off ...

 "I'm goin' on da InterNETS ta try an' CATCH summa doze Cookies dey got flyin' all over da place.  Yoo kin take care of da milk." says Dani.

Sox, the lap cat, replies "We has no milk.  I lapped it all up!"

So when Santa arrived they gave him a root beer.

"I'm ROOTin' fur ya, Santa.  SORRY about da Milk."  says Sox

"An' I'm SORRY 'bout da Cookies. I tried my best." says Dani.

Then they both thanked Santa and wished him 

Merry Christmas

and to all a GOOD NIGHT!

DANI: AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFURENT

 Dani has developed a completely endearing habit.  For some reason this usually only happens after dark.  She will stand upright on her haunches and most recently has "reached for the stars" simultaneously, pawing at the air in a waving motion.

It is SO DARN CUTE!!!  I respond with various intonations of delight so I think I have reinforced this behaviour because it's happening more regularly.

Unfortunately I haven't been in a position to take pictures at the moment it occurs.  So I went to the internet to find pictures that would allow you to see what I see.

Although this first cat collage is all Maine Coons, it is something that a good number of kitties do.  Prepare yourself to be aMEWSed!

Now, while artfully adorable, this doesn't describe what I refer to as 'The Full Monty' with "arms" fully extended above their heads.  For that you'll have to scroll on down to the next collage.

This is a medley of just one kitty.  Her name is Keys and she is the Queen of Quirk when it comes to this PURRticular PURRactice.

The last time Dani did 'The Full Monty' in front of me I had my eyes buried deep in my iPad (good thing it was padded!) and was completely unaware of what was going on right in front of me.

Then I noticed some motion right above the horizon of my iPad.  It was Dani's paws waving back and forth attempting to get my attention!  

Adorable doesn't even begin to describe it. The best I can do is provide the closest pawsible representation:

DANI DISCOVERS UNIFURSAL TRUTH

 Dani is stunned at the number of white flakes all around her.

Heaven's above!  There must be supply chain shortages up there, too.  You can't find Head and Shoulders for love nor money.

Farts are uniFURSal, too!

June has a Code she lives by, and that is Morse Code.  She has to dash out and get more dashes 'cause she'll have to redo all of today's messages.

  This week Dani invited June over for yet another decorating pawty.  June may think that Dani has a PURRSonal connection with Santa Claws or something because Dani seems to be doing double duty -- and boy, is she feeling taxed!  

The two girls are sharing fries which both of them identify with culturally.  You see June is American and Dani is Canadian, but McDonalds is uniFURSal.  

Hello Kitty has also dropped in to join the fun.  She's all ready to "TY" one on.  But then so is Dani.
