DANI IN THE UNDERBRUSH

Here's a beautiful picture of Dani sitting under the still-bare bushes.

"I doan noe why dey calls dis da 'undahbrush' cuz I'm undah a bush NOT a brush" remarks Dani.

"Now dis is wot I calls an undahbrush!" says she.

"Cuz Mama uses it ta brush my undah belly."

Understandable, n'est-ce-paw?

DANI IN THE GARDEN UNDER COVER (SORT OF)

Dani was sitting in the front garden on the weekend.  The sun was shining brightly and you could discern newly-green growth in places.

Dani decided to tuck herself behind a bush for (what I call) CATmouflage.  Actually she does blend in rather nicely with her surroundings, but her presence isn't anywhere close to being masked.

 After all, how could you mask ...

... a beauty like that?

Uh ... OK, gotcha!

DANI'S SPRING HAT TRICK

A hat trick is when you score three times in a row, and Dani has certainly scored here with these three fabulous Spring fascinators!

The first is a pale lilac fascinator with white 'wings' and a pink beaded embellishment on top.  She is wearing a coordinating gold necklace with lilac-and-pink-flowered pendant.  Her pale lilac leather purrse is made by Dior.

The second is a rose, is a rose, is a pink rose-banded fascinator paired with a silver chain necklace studded with pale pink floral charms.  Dani's choice of purrse this time is a pink leather Cartier with both handles and a shoulder strap.

The third is a pale blue fascinator adorned with even paler blue ribbon arranged in soft folds.  Her silver necklace with pale blue pearl pendant is the purrfect appurtenance.  This time Dani has selected a light blue silk handbag with solid shiny fabric on top and subtle striping on the bottom.

It seems Dani is hatted up and ready for any special Spring occasion.  Getting invitations for them will be the real 'trick'!

"I'll just hasta wing it!" says she.

Well, that should save on airfare at least.

DANI ON THE IMPAWTANCE OF CHIN-UPS!

Dani believes in keeping fit, so she decided to do a few more chin-ups for good measure.

 "I doan noes why efurrywun finks chin-ups is so hard"  says Dani.

 "Yoo kin always haff a chin rest if yoo needs wun."

"An' haffin' a good old chin wag wif sumwun is good exercise, too."

"It keeps yoo frum gettin' a dubble chin.

Wun is more dan enuff fur me!"

DANI IN SUN AND SHADOW

Dani was out on the front porch yesterday.  Despite being a sunny day, it was quite chilly, so she hunkered down in a ball to keep warm.  Most of her body was out in the sun which turned patches of her coat a burnished reddish colour.

Dani's colours come out best under bright light.  I have enhanced them further, here, by using a watercolour effect which also heightens the polarities between sun and shadow.

Why, she's a genuine work of art!

Dani's inside relaxing in front of the fireplace.

I called out to her.  "Dani!"

 "Wot?" she answered.

 I called again.  "Dani, Dani! I'm over here."  So she turned her head and looked at me.

"Wot yoo want?" asked she.

I didn't say anything because I just wanted her to look at me.

"Sheesh -- I wuz ovah heer jus' mindin' my own bizness an' she interrupts me fur nuffin."
