WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: WHAT'S UP?

DANI ALL AKIMBO

Efurryone has their own unique sleep style, and, of course, Dani has hers.

She likes to sleep in an inverted position with her forearm above her head and with one or two feet dangling.

The dictionary describes such a position as it pertains to arms and legs "akimbo" meaning "limbs flung out widely or haphazardly".  That's funny because I haven't thought of that word in such a long time, and it's one of those words that I find quite appealing.  Something like Dani, herself (appealing, that is).

"Whadda yoo fink?  Duz I appeals to yoo?

Even if my liddle toe 
is here or there akimbo?"

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: HELLO KITTY!

DANI AND SOX: BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE UNTIL YOU EAT THEM

This is Sox.  He is actually Dani's nephew in that he belongs to Mama's son.  He's been staying with us for several months now because his Daddy travels for work a lot.

"I has spotted sumfin" says Sox.

"Spot on!" says I.

And the more Sox stares the more butterflies appear, almost as if by magic!

Dani says "If yoor gonna gives me buttahflies, dey belongs in my stomack!  It's da rule of claw."

Even after she ate them, the butterflies were still in good spirits.

"What will be, will be" said the butterflies.

"We didn't stand a ghost of a chance, did we?"

And now they are (ghosts, that is).

All except for this one.

DANI DOES VALENTINE'S DAY!

Dani has a new sparkly dress for Valentine's Day.

It has a beautiful deep-pink tulle skirt and a white cotton jersey top trimmed in the same pink, and best of all it has ...

... a heart on its back!

And, as usual, Dani rose to the occasion by sending out her love.

"I wishes yoo all a verrrry hearty Valentine's Day" says she.

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY WITH DANI: DANGLY THINGS

DRESSING DOWN DANI

Usually Dani likes to dress up and accessorize up the ying-yang.

This is Dani's latest dress without any embellishment.  It is a casual cotton jersey number with a light gray bodice and bright orange (with black hearts) flutter sleeve and skirt.  There is also a pink trim around the neck.

Not being satisfied without accessorizing, Dani dressed her dress up -- and then dressed it down.  

"Is kwite fursatile" said she.

Dani likes funky fashion and this is no different.  For a date out with the girls, Dani has added a gray bow-shaped fascinator hat with orange heart and sparkly studs to fancy it up.  Her necklace is actually an orange garnet in a silver setting with dangles.  She has also chosen an orange beaded bracelet as an extra added little touch.

Her orange alligator purse is quite shi-shi and adds that 'funk' that she's so fond of.  

For her outing the next day, Dani dressed down.

Dani is all ready for a hike in the great outdoors.  This same dress, paired with an orange and black baseball cap (to keep the sun off her pretty head) and an orange and black backpack, has a completely different 'funktion'.

Don't forget to pack your snacks and that all-important water bottle, Dani!

"I wonts ta pack it in my belleh rite now" said she impatiently.

Not efurryone is thrilled with Dani's fashion choices.  Her great aunt Kitty still has Victorian sensibilities and isn't impressed one little bit!

Talk about being dressed down -- ouch!

Oh well, you can't please 'em all.
